Im doing my KM practice for an International Development organisation in Manila. My organisation is doing a bilateral project in the road rehabilation and maintenance for the provincial government. In doing so, I'm tasked to capture all the knowledge and learnings being identified, created, represented, distributed and to be adopted by our stakeholders.
My challenge is to formulate the KM strategy for my organisation and eventually to be the center of knowledge products for the road rehabilation and maintenance activities that can be replicated to government road projects which is relatively a new reform in this area. This project is not only doing road rehabilation and maintenance but providing reform in governance and capacity building for road sector planning.
KM is relatively new in the government sector, where there is a great challenge and opportunity to explore this practice, research and advocacy effort.
